Collaborates with Singapore’s Leadi...

    To support the Retail industry

WORLD MODE HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "WMH" / Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shinsuke Kafuku) will collaborate with NTUC LearningHub (hereinafter referred to as "NTUC LHUB"), a leading Continuing Education and Training provider in Singapore which aims to transform the lifelong employability of working people, to improve the skills of salespeople and the social status of salespeople, which is key to the development of the retail industry.

[Develop learning program in collaboration with NTUC LHUB]

The Singapore government is focused on continuously training workers to keep pace with evolving business needs and technological advancements, and is partnering with companies to help them acquire and update their skills. These learning opportunities are provided by NTUC LHUB, which is a training provider and social enterprise under the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) . WMH has been providing learning content to NTUC LHUB as a training provider in the field of human resource development, and now will collaborate with NTUC LHUB to jointly develop training program and upskill/ reskill the retail talents in Singapore.  Utilizing our knowledge and know-how in the development of salespeople such as of our Mode Academy, we will strongly support human resource development efforts in Singapore.

[CX Ambassador Program to support the future of the retail industry]

In Singapore, the retail industry is expanding due to the new opening of commercial facilities and stores one after another with economic growth, and due to the increase in tourists. As the demand for salespeople increases, companies are required to address a variety of issues, such as ongoing labor shortages, difficulty in recruiting highly skilled personnel to improve customer satisfaction, and efforts to improve employee skills.

On the other hand, according to a survey*1 conducted by NTUC LHUB among retail employees, although many employees are motivated to participate in training and learn new skills, employers are not providing enough training opportunities.  Seven in ten employees (69%) surveyed have not participated in training in the past two years, and 50% responded that there was no support for their career path.

In order to address the challenges of human resource development in the retail industry in Singapore, WMH collaborates with NTUC LHUB to launch the CX*2 Ambassador Program in November 2023. In this program, WMH will recruit and train human resources who aim to become sales professionals through WORLD MODE SINGAPORE, our base in Singapore.

    *2: CX=Customer Experience

The CX Ambassador Program aims to produce human resources who will engage in corporate business development with high skills and hospitality and support the retail industry. In addition, it aims to establish sales as a profession, improve its social status, and lift it into a profession that many people want to work in.

WORLD MODE HOLDINGS will continue to support the development of Singapore's fashion and beauty industry from a variety of perspectives.

What is the CX Ambassador Program?

WMH hires people who want to work as sales professionals and provide them with the necessary training for salespeople, including industry, brand, and product knowledge, customer service, and emergency response. We will develop them as human resources engaged in the business development of companies.

After the dispatch period as an ambassador ends, if there is an agreement between the company and the CX ambassador, there is a possibility of transferring to an employee, so this program can be considered as a step toward career advancement.

In addition, for companies, the use of trained "CX Ambassadors" can be support to reduce the time and cost required for recruitment and training, and in case of hiring CX ambassador as an employee, they will be able to recruit human resources who are less likely to cause mismatches and turnover.

At the NTUC LHUB seminar event, the "C/X Ambassador Program" was introduced.

On October 17, NTUC LHUB's training partner, CapitaLand, hosted a seminar event called "Revolution generate retail AI" to present solutions that support the future of retail. Angeline Yap, Director of World Mode Holdings Asia Pacific and World Mode Singapore, took the stage at the seminar, which proposes various solutions to the retail industry, such as improving the customer experience in stores and shortages of retail talent. World Mode Singapore's "CX Ambassador" services and benefits in recruitment activities will be introduced. We presented a solution to the recruitment challenges of the retail industry.
